The Spring Summer 2017 Collection

O-M-G. It is Christmas already? And by Christmas, you just know I’m referring to the Jimmy Choo Spring Summer 2017 Collection. Ooh la la! I am smitten! It all started with the teaser promo below:

And now they got the ever lovely Dakota Fanning to be the new face of the Spring Summer 2017 Collection! In the previous post, I talked about the Lolita 100 but nothing could have prepared me for their floral version of it. Just look at this beauty!

I just completely lapped up the website information as well. “Inspired by the natural grace of the Iris flower, the Lolita is an elegant and sophisticated sandal. With delicate straps which entwine around the foot and the ankle, with intricate arrangement of layered leather petals becoming a decorative corsage for the foot. The play of Mirror Leather with Vacchetta echo the colors and textures of the nature that inspires them. The upper of the Lolita is composed of 66 separate pieces which are intricately hand-stitched. Leather lined with a leather sole this sandal is must have item. Heel height measures 100 mm/3.9 inches. Made in Italy.” Isn’t that just inspired? Also, for those who aren’t into high heels but would just love to have this design anyway, the Lolita Iris design comes in flats!

The floral Lolita 100 is just begging to be paired with the Hummingbird Print Lockett Petite. This is truly the reason why us designer good aficionados can’t just keep with one color of a design we like. Last month, I was enraptured by the purple Lockett Petite. Today? I cannot wait to get my hands on the Hummingbird Print. Can you blame me? Look at it!

The beautiful thing is despite how the Hummingbird looks like it should be a lot more expensive than the solid colors, it isn’t. It’s still sold at the same price which is something we can all appreciate, right? Also, I don’t know if you’ve seen Dakota Fanning’s glamorous Jimmy Choo photo shoot but one particular photo cast a spell on me.

In the photo with her is the Keena 100. The cobalt blue really demands attention! The Keena 100 is a pair of Cobalt Suede Sandal Booties. The website spun me further with its description: Rich cut out detailing define the Keena sandal bootie. The upper is constructed from a velvety suede in a delicate laser cut design to imitate the look of feathers. The laces can be purely aesthetic, instead using the zip fastening at the back of the ankle for ease of fit. Leather lined and finished with a leather sole. Heel height measures 100 mm/3.9 inches. Any one of us would gladly pay the $1070 price tag, am I right or am I RIGHT?

I also really like the Iris version of the Artie. Artie is a practical yet timeless hobo bag, featuring a roomy interior with secure zipped closure. It features an exclusively designed detachable, woven leather shoulder strap which offers a comfortable and easy to carry shoulder drop as well as a longer, removable leather strap. This allows for the bag to be worn on the shoulder, both short and long, or across the body. Featuring our Jimmy Choo engraved metal pull, the zip has been further adorned with knotted leather laces, a Jimmy Choo embossed leather tag and Lockett studs, for a final touch of elevated luxury. The front of the bag features subtle seams echoing the pointed shape of the Lockett lock as well as a foil embossed Jimmy Choo logo for subtle brand identification. Internal suede-like lining keeps this style lightweight and one large slip pocket ensures your valuables are safe and close at hand. Made in Italy.Bag Measures: L 40 x H 28 x W 10cm

It’s going to hit you for about $1340 but it’s worth it. You always get what you paid for after all!

New Arrivals I’m In Love With

Hello there, Lovelies!

Today, I took a gander at the ever available Jimmy Choo website and online store and came upon some pieces that pretty much stole my breath away.

So naturally, I had to take a closer look and dig up more information about each beauty. So we’ll start with the Emily 85.

Emily 85

The website describes her as:

Emily is a delicate and strappy sandal which crosses over the arch of the foot in a modern and sexy way. The upper is crafted in champagne glitter fabric which wraps around the ankle to offer comfort and support. Leather lined with a leather sole, Emily is finished with a sleek refined heel which is desirable for any summer night. Made in Italy. Heel height measures 85mm/3.3 inches.

Emily 85 is definitely perfect for a glam night out or especially for a New Year’s Eve party! She goes for about $690 at SAKS and the Jimmy Choo website.

Since Emily 85 gives the aura of chic glam, Lydia is a perfect match to really bring in the full glam.

The Jimmy Choo website’s description of Lydia really paints a sexy picture. It says:

A versatile, modern style with a sleek silhouette, Lydia can be used as a small clutch bag or carried on shoulder with a short detachable chain. It features 2 compartment pouches for bills and receipts, an internal zipped pocket for coins and 6 card holders. It is finished with a snapped button closure. It has a champagne glitter fabric exterior that is finished with a quirky sculpted metal bow bar. Made in Italy.

I personally think the short detachable chain is a classy touch. It makes Lydia easy to hold (and show off). I just think its odd that they’d use ‘bills and receipts’ in the description since it gives Lydia the designation of a wallet rather than a small clutch bag. In either case, I think Lydia deserves more love and how else can you show love other than grabbing yourself a pair. She goes for $657.

Now as for the next two items in the new arrivals list, are two beautiful purple pieces. Now, if you wouldn’t mind a bit of history, the color purple was reserved for royalty because dyes were hard to come by. So you can imagine the stir caused by anyone who wasn’t part of the royal family yet wore purple.

Thank goodness that archaic rule is gone. Now any lady who wants to feel like a total queen can grab Davos 100 and Lockett Petite.

Davos 100

Ooh la la! Davos 100 is one sexy pump! The website describes Davos 100 as:

Make a statement this season with the Davos 100 with its bold fashionable design and asymmetric upper. The Iris suede design follows the natural curves of the foot to create the perfect balance between exposure and coverage. Created on a Goude last construction and teamed with a clean lined heel, this style creates an illusion of height and added sex appeal. Leather lined with a leather cushioned sole the Davos offers style as well as comfort. Made in Italy. Heel height measures 100mm/3.9 inches.

Davos 100 hits you for around $720. Now, if purple really isn’t your thing, Davos 100 also comes in light mocha so other than being classy in purple, you can use Davos 100 for a more professional look. But just because you’re looking professional doesn’t mean you can’t rock a fun bag. And fun is exactly what Lockette Petite is.

Lockette Petite

Unlike Davos 100, Lockette Petite stays at the shade of purple and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. The website has this to say about her:

A sexy and feminine shoulder flap bag, Lockett Petite is the ideal bag to take you from day to evening. The exclusive push lock closure is patented by Jimmy Choo and has a unique mechanism ensuring the bag remains securely closed. The face of the lock is coated in a luxurious dark midnight blue enamel, subtly offset with rich gold accent detailing. The exterior is iris purple grainy leather with tassel detailing. Thanks to its luxurious chain strap, Lockett Petite can be worn cross body, doubled up or worn full length on the shoulder. The strap features a sophisticated chain knot secured by hand. It features one main compartment with an internal embossed Jimmy Choo logo. Made in Italy.Bag Measures: L 21 x H 15 x W 6cm

Now, Lockette Petite shines at $1,745. I know you ladies know how I feel about pricey stuff. You always get what you pay for and when it comes to high fashion more is always better. So that’s it so far! You know I’ll always keep my eye out for the latest arrivals and deals. So until next time!
